Does anyone have experience installing STEC S1120 PCIe cards, under Windows 10 Pro? I found and installed latest Windows driver (s1120_windows_driver_2_2_1_build_0246), installed 480gb card, and system will not boot. The card has a slow flash on green led, but never boots. If I remove card, boots fine. I am using PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot of Lenovo TS140 Computer. ...any advice or ideas? ABQ :)

I believe, that card is an accelerator and not a bootable drive. If you installing it as a secondary drive, then it could a driver problem.

Thanks much for suggestion. I guess i must have driver issue, but darned if i can tell where issue is. I am using what i understand is current windows driver (s1120_windows_driver_2_2_1_build_0246), and my system boots fine without pcie card.

No, i have micron600 2.5" sata ssd as boot drive. I am just trying to add this pcie card, not as boot drive. ...want to use as 'extra memory/cache' on server.

Sorry, that is all I have on driver. ... Do you know if this latest STEC windows driver is Windows 10 certified? ...I don't, and cannot find this information. Any help appreciated:)

Sorry that I missed your question. Computer has never booted with STEC pcie card in it, with or without driver. I do not know if listed driver is Windows 10 version. Appears no one else knows either. ...I cannot find anyone with success under Windows 10, using google and STH forums.

I think you want to solve the booting issue first before worrying about the driver for win10. I had one of these a while back running on Win2k12 and never have an issue.

Try moving the card to different pci slot and try playing with the bios pci-e settings.

Hi Azex, thanks much for helpful suggestions. I will try moving SSD to the PCIe 2.0 x 4 electrical slot of my Lenovo TS140 (only 2 choices), as well as try fiddling with the bios settings. ...any particular bios setting I should look at? Best Regards, Abq :)

not sure if you're still trying to figure this out, but I finally decided to install my stec drive to my desktop running windows 10 and it works just fine. I do have to install the win2k driver since that is all that is available for them. Performance on win10 is just as advertised so I think all is good.
