Is the drive being sealed in bag when it is being shipped?
Would it be possible that someone not satisfied with the drive's host write amount, return it and then back to online store for resale?
Thanks a lot.

I do believe mine came in ziplock anti-static bags. You may want to ask Newegg about returns. If they do still have any drives that is.

The ziplock bags were folded over and taped shut with a yellow sticker (400GB here). Unless you can take that off without breaking it, Newegg might be able to hit you with a partial refund for returning an opened drive that was not defective.

All models are sold out though.

Just got 3 of the 200GB models.

1. 434 on hours - 58 power cycles - total written = 1338GB
2. 15 on hours - 10 power cycles - total written = 0GB
3. 8 on hours - 4 power cycles total written = 0GB

Close enough to new for me.

i got one of the 960s and 3 x 200s - the 960 was new enough (20TB lifetime writes - 3 days on time) and the 200s were like yours (2 with < 1G written and 1 with ~380TB lifetime writes via HD sentinel for 48 days on time but still shows > 3yrs life )

I was thinking about picking up the 4 x 200GB but didn't act fast enough. Once newegg put those on the ebay, they were able to move them fast. Good thing was that I got to pick up 3 x 400GB before they were all gone. Each of them had 3 or 4 power on and no data was ever written. (Now they do after I ran the badblocks. Of course no bad sector was found).

May i ask which drive(s) you bought and the amount of host write you've seen on it/them?

I got 6 of the 200s, which arrived yesterday. Only had time to test 1 so far, but it had 458 hours and 66.5 GB written, so barely broken in.

I bought a 400GB and a 960GB drivers. They just arrive my forwarder. I expect they would arrive early next week.
Mine arrived.
Both are 0GB host write and 0 hr power on.
Power on count are 4 / 5 for my 400GB/960GB respectively. (I just power them on once to check the above by CrystalDiskInfo.)

Very satisfy as they are actually new.

For any Canadians who were lamenting missing out on this deal, Newegg.ca now have the 200GB in stock for $49.99 (but sadly no sign of the 400GB/960GB).

Refurbished: Toshiba THNSNJ200PCSZ 200 GB 2.5" 7.0 mmH 6Gb/s SSD - Newegg.ca

I received two today, SMART says:

Disk 1: 34 power on hours, 569 total lbas written, 47 total lbas read
Disk 2: 99 power on hours, 5962 total lbas written, 3 total lbas read

Pretty awesome deal!

I bought 3 of the 200GB and put Windows 10 on them. One of them has no partitions today. Wondering if anyone else had any issues with these.

I had one too that did that (but most likely I caused the corruption - I was running a local VM and I continually didnt do a graceful shutdown/disconnect and it finally gave me the finger) - i ran diskcheck and was lucky and it repaired about 95+% of it

Theses stats seems pretty acceptable. At 24/24, the drive was used 50 days.
That means 100 Gb read per day and 250 Gb wrote per day.

The writes are significant but still reasonnable imho.
