Nice! I emailed him about making a custom one and he said he already made one for someone else and if it worked good he would be selling it. So you were the guy :p

Do you mind taking some pictures of the finished product? How are the thermals etc
Pic here in a lenovo p350. Tight fit but seems good to go. Not yet tested as it only came last night.

I finally received mine ! ouf !

I starting to play with Proxmox and Nvme Passthrough. All drives are recognized (even the drive with A+E Key adapter, but limited to 900MB)
Ha, that's a neat trick you pulled there

How is the cable NVME holding itself in place? Don't recall there was mounting standoff. Double sided tape?

There no mouting standoff, it would be great if they thought about it, and you right it's double sided tape !

Maybe it's not the good thread but I hope to see what users will do with this mini pc ! A lot of different configurations could be realized

Hi guys, I have a weird problem with the SFP+ ports. Everything was working fine for about a week running Harvester without any problems, but when I removed a PCI WiFi card that I was using without any issues, the 2 SFP ports stopped working. They are not listed in my OS, no dmesg errors, not listed in the BIOS (I don't know if they were shown before), tested with other live OS without success, reset the BIOS... The port LEDs make a quick flash at boot, but they don't power on later when I connect a module.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot the problem, some BIOS config? Is it a PCI bus problem?

Thanks.

I also have MS-01(13900H) running proxmox with 96GB memory from crucial like yours (just not kit bought 2 48GB separately because it was cheaper) and i also have the same problem but my server behaves normally. I do not experience random reboots or anything. I just see the errors. I tried memtest86+, tried unplugging external devices and I tried running single ram (tried each ram) and not running any vm at all. But i still see the errors still. I also tried updaating and dowgrading the kernel but it made it just worse! Like i saw Memory failure every second! That was teribble! Running kernel 5.15.136-1-pve i see the error only every minute. Maybe someone else can help? For me it would be enough to see any reponse that you are running MS-01 with 96GB crucial and it is working without the hardware or memory error. I also want to know if you are seeing the errors. Just want to know exactly if this is normal behavior or not. I would be really happy for any help. :) I see this:

So i am replying to my own post here as i have installed rasdaemon to help more with troubleshooting. Rasdaemon shows me this:

Could anyone please help explain what I am seeing here? From what i can see it has something to do with L2 cache of CPU. I am not sure if this is a bug, or i just got bad CPU. Is this critical? I can still send back my Ms-01 :( as i just received it a week ago. What to do?

Did you try plugging the card back in? Try taking the memory out boot it then power off put memory back in. If it's not showing up in either OS it's def hardware, return it get a replacement.

I received an MS-01 from Amazon and it would not show any video. It would turn on but no splash screen or UEFI screen (Esc. Del.). I tried a couple of good HDMI cables using the HDMI port and two different working monitors. I also tried the USB4 port using Thunderbolt 4 cable. Also used an adapter for USB 4 to HDMI – nothing visual would show. I had a good NVMe drive installed in slot 1 and 96 Gb of Crucial memory in RAM.

I assumed that I had a defective unit and returned it to Amazon. I have another one on order from MinusForum (ordered back in early January).

My question is: Was the unit defective, or did I make some kind of mistake (I have never had a computer not produce a splash screen)?

What does the splash screen look like?

@CharlieBreeze3 how long did you wait for the splash screen? When i boot mine i think it take 15-30 seconds to show the Minisforum logo.

Mine from Minisforum direct didn't have boot image until I disabled clean boot (I think that's what it was called). The first boot also took an absurdly long time. I read it would do that somewhere... so I let it sit. It did eventually boot to a windows installer. Another MS-01 needed me to spam the UEFI (Delete I think) key as it was booting and I had to fiddle w/ the settings until it would boot to install.

I'm not sure - but I don't think Minisforum is doing a "Burn-In" w/ POST test before they ship.

@NerdAshes thanks for trying to help. I am also thinking its the 2x 48 Curcial. I tried 8GB Curcial and did not see any errors with that. It just confuses me because because it also says cpu 1 and 2

My guess is ram or defective. When you get the other one try booting with ram that comes with it or one stick. Work from there try and isolate.

@NerdAshes thanks for trying to help. I am also thinking its the 2x 48 Curcial. I tried 8GB Curcial and did not see any errors with that. It just confuses me because because it also says cpu 1 and 2
Well one of the forum posts I found did say that for them - replacing the RAM worked. That it is also a fix from the bot and that it cured your issue with a RAM swap... I'd say it's the RAM ;-p

As for the CPU cache errors being listed - I suppose it's a garbage in/garbage out issue from the bad RAM feeding bad data.

Should I assume that you saw nothing and then went into the UEFI by using Del., then set the windows secure boot? After this you got a splash screen? When I get my next one I want to make sure that it is the MS-01 having the problem -- not me. Regrettably Amazon does not have more of them and would only refund my purchase, I wanted another unit. I will now have to place another order with MinusForum.

When you were doing the first boot did you do it with a Windows installer. I tried with and without the installer.
